Sani presents N790bn 2025 budget to Assembly
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, on Monday, presented N790 billion 2025 budget proposal to the State House of Assembly.
The Governor disclosed that in the 2025 budget, N553 billion is allocated to capital expenditures, representing 70 per cent, while N237 billion is allocated to recurrent expenditures, representing 40 per cent of the total budget.
According to the Governor, “The capital allocation reflects our continued focus on Infrastructure with particular emphasis on rural roads, healthcare facilities, education infrastructure and housing projects.
“We have deliberately focused on projects that will have a massive impact on the economic well-being of our citizens.”

Giving a breakdown of the budget proposal, Sani explained that N206.6 billion would be expended on education, focusing on construction and rehabilitation of schools and capacity building of teachers, among others.
He stated that N127 billion would be expended on health, focusing on upgrading healthcare facilities , procuring medical equipment and exploring mobile healthcare services, among others.
The governor proposed N106 billion for infrastructure, N74 billion on agriculture, N11.2 billion for security and N9.8 billion for social welfare.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru, assured the governor of the support of the lawmakers in ensuring his administration achieved its vision of a transformed, inclusive and prosperous state.
He stated that the house, in collaboration with the state government, would continue to break new ground in governance, ensuring that the state remains a model for good leadership.
He adjourned sitting to November 3.
Earlier, the House confirmed the appointment of three Commissioner-nominees sent by Sani .
Yunana Markus was confirmed as the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, James Atung, confirmed commissioner for Internal Security and Home affairs and Ibrahim Muhammad, Finance Minister.
