Segalink reacts after Datti said the use of massacre in Endsars is highly debatable
In a statement released by Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, the running mate of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, in his interview with Channels TV, while speaking about the Endsars stated that the use of the word “Massacre” in Endsars Is Debatable, but he can say for sure that there abuses of procedure and civil rights violations.
Reacting to this statement released by Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, Nigerian Human Rights activists, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as “Segalink”, released a statement via his twitter handle, where he agreed with the statement made by the running mate of Peter Obi, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed.
Quoting Segun, he said, “He is correct. For those that read the Lagos Sars Panel report, the use of “Massacre” was contextual and spoke directly to the failure of deploying non-kinetic means of engagement of unarmed protesters. Procedure and civil rights were indeed violated as found/proven”.
