Senegalese, Sadio Mane, wins African Player of the Year second time in Rabat
The Senegalese international plater, Sadio Mane, in Rabat, Morocco, won the African Player of the Year for a second time, having won it in 2019 when he was at Liverpool, England. Mane now plays with Bayern Munich, Germany, on three years contract.
Mane flew into Morocco from the United States to receive the award on Thursday after his new club, Bayern Munich, played DC United in Washington on Wednesday.
Mane expressing his joy, said: “I am really honoured and highly delighted to receive this award again.
“Thanks to my coaches, my club and national team colleagues and those friends who stood by me during difficult times.”
