Seven Nigeria referees for FIFA Futuro III course
Seven members of the Nigeria Referees Association,NRA are now part of Referees Assessors drawn from the African continent taking part in the FIFA Futuro III course For Referees Instructors course this August,2019 in Kigali, Rwanda.
National Daily learnt that for Beginners category of the capacity building workshop, retired FIFA referee and Director of Sports of Yobe State,Ago Abubakar, PhD, and a Port Harcourt based lawyer of the Rivers State Referees Council, Ugbuji Cecilia are in for the Technical aspect while recently retired Kano state based Five Aside FIFA referee and a former household name in the NPFL, Ibrahim Fagge is for Fitness.
For the Advanced category of the yearly course are seasoned international referee instructor, Callistus Chukwujekwu, highly capped retired FIFA assistant referee specialists, Peter Edibe and an Amazon in the women class of instructors,
Felicia Okwugba, all for Technical, while Engr Emmanuel Imiere, FIFA RTD is for Fitness.
The NRA who is happy for the consideration of its members for the program, according to the President, Otunba Tade Azeez wishes to thank the Nigeria Football Federation for the continued support in training of referees both home and abroad adding that the end result no doubt would be utilised for the growth of officiating of the round leather game in the country.
