Since I was born, I have never heard that a CBN governor declared to contest election – Lere Olayinka
Former media aide to Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka has taken a swipe at the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele for declaring for the 2023 Presidency.
The Delta State-born Economist who has been the Governor of the apex bank after the tenure of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi picked the nomination and expression of interest form today.
His supporters obtained the nomination form on his behalf from the Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress today in Abuja.
Before now, the Central Bank of Nigeria boss had vehemently denied that he is interested in becoming the next President of Nigeria.Reacting to the development on his verified Facebook page, Lere Olayinka who is known for his outspokenness stated that he has never heard that a sitting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria declared to contest an election since he was born.
The recent post by the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain has generated a lot of reactions from his fans and numerous followers on the social media platform.
