Soludo appoints Christopher Molokwu as new MD of Anambra Broadcasting Service
The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has appointed Mr. Christopher Osemedua Molokwu as the new Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), replacing Mr. Chido Obidiegwu.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced on September 5, 2024.
Mr. Molokwu, a seasoned media practitioner from Delta State, brings over 16 years of experience in the media production industry to his new role.
His career includes significant achievements in strategic planning, customer service, event management, and social media.
Before his appointment, he served as the Programs Manager at Wazobia FM Onitsha and Head of Sports at Steam Broadcasting Limited (96.9 Cool FM).

An alumnus of the University of Benin with a degree in English Language and Literature, Mr. Molokwu is also a member of the Institute of Disaster Management and Control and an Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).
His extensive experience and leadership in media management, community engagement, and social services are expected to drive ABS toward a new era of growth and innovation.
Governor Soludo expressed his gratitude to Mr. Obidiegwu for his service as the former MD of ABS, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
The Governor also encouraged Mr. Molokwu to align with the administration’s vision of transforming Anambra into a livable and prosperous state.
