South East records lowest IGR after years of sit-at-home order
South East Nigeria has recorded the lowest Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) after years of sit-at-home order in the struggle for Biafra in the country.
In the total revenue generated by zone for the year 2023, the south east has the lowest figure of N823.54 billion, while the South-South tops the table with N2.31 trillion, and the South West trails with N2.22 trillion.

The perennial Monday sit-at-home order may be taking its toll on productivity in the region.
