Super Eagles not scared of Brazil – Defender Ekong
The defence marshal of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, William Troost-Ekong, has declared that they are not afraid of the Brazilian national team in their friendly match on Sunday. National Daily learned that Ekong will captain the Super Eagles following the alst minute withdrawal from the game of key players in the Super Eagles because of injuries.
The Super Eagles will be playing the five times world champions, the Selecao of Brazil on Sunday in Singapore at 8.00pm local time.
Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, had acknowledged that the match is a good preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be fielding several new professional players when playing the Brazilian national team at the National Stadium, Dhakka, Singapore, on Sunday. They will feel the vacuum created by the withdrawal of the injured key players in the team.
