World Cup qualifier: Nigeria Super Eagles set to clash with Ghana’s Black Stars on Friday
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to clash with the Black Stars of Ghana in the first leg away match of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The 21 platers of the national team in camp began training on Tuesday evening in preparation for departure to Kumasi on Thursday.
The Nigerian national team will be playing the Black Stars at the 40,000 capacity Baba Yara Stadium on Friday evening.
Napoli FC of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen, has joined the Eagles in camp. Sadiq Umar and Amoo Akinwunmi were expected on Tuesday. Odion Ighalo has returned to the national team.
Super Eagles players in camp as at Tuesday include William Ekong, Leon Balogun, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Olaoluwa Aina, Frank Onyeka, Odion Ighalo, Daniel Akpeyi, Ahmed Musa, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Abdullahi Shehu, Francis Uzoho, Moses Simon, Emmanuel Dennis, Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Innocent Bonke, Kenneth Omeruo, Zaidu Sanusi, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen.
