Yola man kills neighbour because of goat
A man in Yola has pleaded guilty to stabbing his neighbor to death because of a goat.
Musa Usman and Abubakar Yunusa had a misunderstanding Wednesday evening last week, and Yunusa stabbed Usman in the ribs.
“The victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital Yola, but was confirmed dead the following day by the medical doctor,” the police prosecutor Sergeant Sawe Nichols said.
The First Information Report tendered before the court indicated that it was one Idris Saidu who reported the incident to the police; hence, the arrest of the defendant
Musa Usman who hails from Sangere, a community in Yola South Local Government Area, confessed to the Chief Magistrate Court 1 in Yola.
Chief Magistrate Abdullahi Mohammed Digil ordered the remand of the defendant until January 11, 2022, as Nicholas prayed the court.
The one-count charge of culpable homicide contravenes section 191 of the Penal Code.
