First-class oba kidnapped, murdered
A first-class oba in Ondo has been murdered on his way back from the Council of Oba’s meeting in the state capital Akure on Thursday.
HRH Adegoke Adeusi, the Olufon of Ifon under Ose Local Government Area Ondo, was murdered by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around the Elegbeka axis of the town.
He was said to have been kidnapped first, and while effort was underway to ensure his rescue, he was found dead.
The state command of police has yet to make any official statement.
Gov Rotimi Akeredolu has visited the palace.
