In January 2020, The Supreme Court removed the then Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and subsequently declared Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Authentic Winner of the 2019 Gubernatorial Election in the State. As the 2023 General Elections is fast approaching, Uzodinma is expected to seek re-election.

However, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State is not united as One Faction is led by Uzodinma while the other is led by the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha. Below is a list of Two Prominent Politicians Uzodinma Should Reconcile With To Stand a Better Chance of Winning In 2023.

1. Senator Rochas Okorocha

Okorocha is a Former Governor of Imo State, the Federal Lawmaker has been at loggerhead with Uzodinma since 2018 after the APC Governorship Primaries which turned out in favour of Uzodinma.

Despite being a Former Governor, Okorocha still commands a large followership in the State. Thus, Reconciling with the Serving Senator might give Governor Uzodinma a better chance of winning re-election in 2023.

2. Senator Ifeanyi Ararume

Ararume is a Top Politician in Imo North Senatorial District, He served as Senator between 1999 and 2007. His Rift with Uzodinma can be traced back to 2020 when the Governor frustrated his intention to return to the Senate, after Uzodinma supported Sir Frank Ibezim who eventually emerged victorious in the Imo North Senatorial Bye-election held in December 2020.

The Governor might gain the Support of Imo North Stakeholders ahead of 2023 if he consider reconciling with Ararume who also belongs to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
