Memory Loss is a type of disease a lot of people suffer at the latter age of their life.
Although more old people suffer memory loss than younger people, this is mostly because of the wrong habits and lifestyle which most of those people lived.
Studies have proven that there are a lot of things that cause memory loss at old age, one of which is our habits and lifestyle. This is why in this article I am going to be talking about 5 bad habits that could lead to memory loss later in life.
1. Smoking
Studies have found that smoking tobacco or other substances has been proven to be the major cause of memory loss at old age. This is because it destroys the brain cells and serious affect the growth of new brain cells.
It also leads to heart, lung and even kidney disease at old age.
2. Drinking alcohol in excess
Alcohol might be good for the body when taken in relatively low quantity but when in excess could really cause a serious health issues..
Studies have found that drinking alcohol in excess could seriously affect your brain health. It also affects different parts of the body including the heart.
3. Skipping sleep
Your sleep is very important to health. When you keep depriving your body of sleep, there are high chances that diseases such as memory loss might occur.
This is because skipping sleep could seriously affect your brain health.
4. Putting your body through high level of stress
Although it is important to work hard to make ends meet, excess stress could really take a toll on your health at old age. Studies have shown that putting your body through high level of stress could lead to memory loss.
