Tottenham Hotspur returned for former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after the north London club have relieved Nuno Espirito Santo of his duties at White Hart Lane.

The move to part ways with Nuno was quickly made less than 48 hours after their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.

Tottenham have endured some poor performances as their talisman Harry Kane had continue to struggle in his bid to regain top form this season after failing to secure a move to Manchester City in the last summer transfer window.

Strangely, Kane has only scored one goal in his last seven Premier League appearances, leaving Spurs losing five out of their last seven league fixtures.

The England captain was keen to leave Spurs in order to improve his chances of winning a major trophy, however, City were refusing to meet the asking price for the striker, which was well in excess of £100 million.

Meanwhile, National Daily can confirm from the claims by The Sun that Kane is now ‘delighted’ with Spurs’ decision to bring Conte to the club and is ready to abandon another attempt to join City.

Kane, who was booed by Spurs fans during the defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, will now be looking to spearhead the team’s new era under Conte.

Spurs fans were delighted to see Conte oversee their training on Tuesday and is in line to take charge for their clash against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, providing his visa is approved by then.

More interestingly for Spurs fans, it is believed that the club have promised Conte a significant budget for the January transfer window in order to improve the squad.

Meanwhile, some stars like Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic and Milan Franck Kessie have already been identified as to be attracting Spurs interest come next transfer window as the latter is believed to be close to agreeing a deal on a free transfer at the end of the season.
