APC Governors seek urgent meeting with Buhari
Governors of the All Progressives Congress after an emergency meeting in Abuja on Monday evening, seek urgent meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on the postponement of the party’s national convention to March 26.
The meeting of the APC Governors at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, was attended by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State, Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Muhammad Yahaya of Gombe State and the Deputy Governor Nkem Okeke of Anambra State.
APC Governors at the end of the meeting, were silent on the postponement of the national convention from February 26 to March 26.
Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State, disclosed that the Governors resolved to speak on the issue after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
“Until we finish the meeting with Mr. President, we will rather not comment on any timetable or logistics,” Bagudu had said.
