Nobody sacked or punished – Dino Melaye says as he lists dates of past prison breaks in Nigeria
A former senator that represented Kogi West in the 8th Senate, Senator Dino Melaye has again reacted to the Kuje prison break by listing other prison breaks that have happened in Nigeria with the caption,
“Nobody sacked. Nobody is punished so it will continue. Waiting for the next. Reactionless Government”
Recall that a prison break happened a few days ago in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This prison break is one out of many prison breaks that have happened across the country between 2021 and 2022. These prison breaks have been happening without any public official taking responsibility.
And that is why Dino Melaye has said Nobody has been sacked. The truth is that public officials must be able to account for the trust given to them by the people. If they fail in monitoring these responsibilities, then they should allow the people to evaluate them and if they fail, they should be replaced by competent hands that will man such offices.
