Ibori returns this December
- Set to join APC
The former Governor of Delta state and the strong man of Delta politics, Chief James Onanefe Ibori who was jailed in the United Kindom over allegations of money laundering, may return home on December 23rd 2016, according to a close source.
The former governor who was famous for his stance and support for Igbo presidency, will return in a chartered Jet via Heathrow Airport to Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos where fans, friends, political associates and family members will receive him in a red-carpet reception before jetting to Osubi Airstrip from where his convoy will take off for his Oghara residence in Ethiope West, Delta State, South-South Nigeria.
Political observers strongly believe that the return of Chief Ibori will alter political calculations towards the 2019 general elections in Delta state, as he may defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC ) since it was alleged that strong forces in the Peoples Democratic Party were behind his ordeal in the United Kingdom.”
