Champions League: How Napoli sank Liverpool 4-1 in opening match
It was a poor start for Liverpool in the ongoing Champions League after they lost 4-1 to Napoli FC of Italy in an away match.
Liverpool FC of England on Tuesday came back from the 4-1 bashing by Napoli to beat Ajax 2-1 in their second match of the Champions League.
In their first encounter, Napoli had scored 3 goals in the first half, without any reply from Liverpool, ending the half 3-0. Victor Osiemhen missed a penalty after he was brought down in the box by van Dijk. Keeper Alisso9n saved the penalty.
Napoli scored the fourth goal through Piotr Zielinski in the second minute of the second half.
Luis Diaz scored one goal later to reduce the tally to 4-1.
Liverpool, however, returned into the competition with 2-1 victory over Ajax, earning 3 points from two matches.
