Nursing mom arrested for brutalizing her stepdaughter in Enugu
Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) have arrested a nursing mom for severely brutalizing her stepdaughter in Maryland, Enugu State.
It was gathered that the suspect, who was said to be in the habit of beating the minor, was arrested on Saturday, October 8, after a concerned citizen saw the child covered in br#ises and notified NAPTIP.
According to the child, the stepmother whipped her with an electric wire because she was sent to buy energy unit of 4015 and she bought 4500, returning N500 instead of N985.
The child had a c#t on her head as well as several br#ises all over her body.
It was gathered that the father of the child was also being physically abused by his wife.
