Fayemi celebrates landing of first aircraft at Ekiti Airport
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on Saturday celebrated the landing of first plane at the Ekiti airport. Fayemi, commissioning the airport, noted that the project is standard and was borne out of resilience. The governor was optimistic that the airport will positively affect the state in many ways.
The plane, NAF 930 aircraft, conveying the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and his team touched down on the runway at about 10.20am.
The aviation minister, Sirika described the airport as a bridge that will connect Ekiti State to the world and also engender national growth.
The airport has capacity to provide cargo and passenger services.
