Wike invites Buhari, Emir of Kano, Obi to commission projects in Rivers
Governor Nyesom Wike of River State has declared one week of projects commissioning in the state Monday, November 14 to Friday, November 18, 2022. The governor subsequently invited President Muhammadu Buhari, the Emir of Kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero; the presidential candidate of the Labour party (LP), Peter Obi; former Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, and others, to commission projects in Rivers State.

The Emir of Kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero is scheduled to inaugurate the Dr Peter Odili Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease Diagnostic and Treatment Centre in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers on Monday; Oshiomhole will commission the Rumuepirikom Flyover in Obio-Akpor on Wednesday, and Peter Obi is scheduled to inaugurate the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover on Thursday in Port Harcourt.
President Buhari will perform the grand commissioning, scheduled to inaugurate the Nabo Graham Douglas Campus, Nigerian Law School, in Obio/Akpor on Friday.
Governor Wike has continued in this tradition since he led the four other governors of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), known as PDP G5, protesting for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and his replacement with a southern national chairman.
