Ilesa cult clashes: Osun State police arrests suspects
Some suspects have been arrested by the Osun State Police Command in connection with the recent rival cult clashes in Ilesa town.
Their arrest comes after the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke gave security agencies the go ahead to conduct special operations to fish out the perpetrators of the violence.
Also, National Daily Newspaper had reported that four persons were gunned down in separate incidents on Sunday at Imo in a beer parlour and on Tuesday at Sabo, Irojo Junction in the ancient town.
The incidents occurred as a result of a supremacy battle between the Eiye and Aiye confraternities
Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the arrest.

Opalola added that operatives were still on the trail of some of the suspected perpetrators of the crime.
“We are still on the trail of some of the perpetrators. They are fleeing but we are still on their trail. Normalcy has returned to the town, National Daily Newspaper gathered.
“We have made some arrests in connection with the incident, but I don’t have the number of those arrested presently,” she said.
