Gunmen kill 8 security operatives and set their cars ablaze
No fewer than eight security operatives comprising soldiers, policemen and Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps were reportedly killed by gunmen during an attack on Tuesday morning, September 19, in Imo State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at about 11:30am in Oriagu, around the Aba branch in Ehime Mbano council area of Imo state.
The security operatives were in two vehicles when they were attacked and killed. The two vehicles were also set ablaze by the bandits.

According to an eyewitness, “I spotted two Hilux patrol vehicles pass my shop and I never knew they were being traced by bandits. Just few minutes later, I started hearing that those officers have been shot dead at Aba branch.
When I got there, the two Hilux vehicles were on fire with the officers burnt beyond recognition. As I speak, Oriagu and Isinweke are blocked at the moment.”
