Fleeing driver injures two on Lagos-Badagry expressway

Last night, a hit-and-run incident occurred on the Badagry section of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, injuring a man and a woman who were subsequently hospitalized.

According to William Manga, commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Badagry, the accident took place at 8:20 p.m.

The command was alerted at 8:25 p.m., and their team reached the scene promptly by 8:30 p.m., as reported to journalists in Badagry on Friday.

“The accident occurred at Car Wash, Itoga Junction axis of the Badagry Expressway.

It  involved an unknown car driver.

“The victims sustained various degrees of injury and fractures,” he said.

Manga said the victims were rushed to the emergency unit of the General Hospital, Badagry, for treatment.

He said N6,980 was recovered from the victims.

The unit commander urged pedestrians to be more careful while crossing expressways.

Manga appealed to motorists to observe speed limits and other traffic rules and regulations.
