Senate confirms Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for finance in Tinubu’s cabinet

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday officially confirmed Taiwo Oyedele as the new Minister of State for Finance in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. The confirmation followed an extensive screening session that lasted more than two hours, during which lawmakers thoroughly examined Oyedele’s qualifications, experience, and vision for the ministry.

The approval came through a voice vote conducted under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, signaling broad support for Oyedele’s appointment. He succeeds Doris Uzoka-Anite, who previously held the position.
