Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, has taken his campaign over killings and insecurity in the state to Israel.

Dachomo arrived in Israel on Friday, October 2, 2026, for what he described as his first international Christian advocacy tour, with plans to draw the attention of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other international leaders to the violence affecting Plateau State and the wider Middle Belt.

According to a programme shared by the cleric on his social media platforms, Dachomo is expected to seek an audience with Netanyahu and participate in meetings with Christian leaders, preachers and prayer warriors from different countries.

The planned engagements are expected to focus on raising international awareness about killings, insecurity and what Dachomo describes as the persecution of Christians in Plateau State and other parts of Nigeria.

The cleric said his decision to take the campaign outside Nigeria was prompted by what he considers the need for greater international attention to the situation.

He also referenced recent comments by United States President Donald Trump on killings and religious violence in Nigeria, saying it was appropriate to draw the attention of the Israeli leadership to the plight of affected communities.

“By the mercy of God, I will be addressing the world in Israel,” Dachomo said.

He said preachers and prayer warriors from the United States, China, Canada, France, Spain and other countries would participate in the activities.

Dachomo said he intended to pray for Nigerians affected by violence, including Christians and Muslims in conflict-affected parts of the country, as well as for national leaders.

The cleric also said he hoped to personally convey the experiences of Christian communities in Plateau State to Netanyahu if he secured a meeting with the Israeli prime minister.

“I want to thank Benjamin Netanyahu. By God’s grace, if we meet one-on-one in Israel, I will share with him the agony of Christians in Nigeria,” he said.

Dachomo has repeatedly spoken publicly about killings in Plateau State and has described some of the violence as a “Christian genocide,” a characterization that forms part of his advocacy campaign.

His previous statements and activities have drawn both support from Christian groups and criticism from some Muslim leaders.

During his latest visit, Dachomo also called for prayers for Nigeria and its people, including victims of violence across different parts of the country.

He said the international prayer meetings would seek divine intervention for peace and an end to insecurity.

The Plateau cleric’s visit comes amid continued international attention on violence and religious tensions in Nigeria, particularly in parts of the North-Central region.

Dachomo has said the objective of his international advocacy is to ensure that the experiences of communities affected by violence in Plateau and other parts of Nigeria receive greater attention from the international community
