Laide Bakare fires back at Eniola Badmus over ‘Shady’ Podcast expressions [VIDEO]
Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has accused her colleague, Eniola Badmus, of attempting to damage her reputation through what she described as disrespectful facial expressions during an interview.
Bakare made the allegations in a post on her Instagram page, where she expressed anger over what she claimed were repeated attempts by Badmus to portray her negatively in public.
The actress described Badmus as a nuisance and alleged that she had warned her several times against actions she considered damaging to her character.
In the post, Bakare wrote: “Must you always damage my character publicly? Several times I have warned you to stop.”
Bakare further alleged that Badmus was deliberately trying to bring her down, claiming that she had played a significant role in helping her colleague grow in life.
She criticised Badmus’ facial expressions during the interview, arguing that they showed a lack of appreciation whenever her name was mentioned.
“See your facial expressions at the mention of your biggest benefactor’s name? … that helped you to grow in life. Honestly, you are indeed an ingrate and I won’t let this slide,” Bakare wrote.
The actress also warned that she would not ignore what she perceived as an attempt to undermine her reputation, adding that she would not allow another person’s insecurity to distract her.
“I will never allow someone else’s insecurity to become my distraction. I know my journey, I know my worth, and I know how much it has taken me to get here,” she stated.
Bakare’s comments have brought the reported disagreement between the two actresses into the public domain. However, the allegations reflect Bakare’s account of the situation, and the specific remarks or expressions that prompted her reaction were not detailed in the post provided.
Badmus’ response to the allegations was not available at the time of writing.
