Awoniyi’s goal gives Nottingham Forest 1-0 victory over Liverpool
A goal from a Nigerian star, Taiwo Awoniyi, was all that Nottingham Forest needed to defeat Liverpool 1-0 in their premier league match on Saturday.
Nottingham Forest’s Ryan Yates had fired past the Liverpool keeper but the shot rebound off the post in the 10th minute of the second , which Awoniyi was positioned to struck into the net.
The victory moved Forest one point up in moving out of the bottom three on the league table.
This is the third league defeat for Liverpool this season.
Awoniyi was in Liverpool for six years without kicking a ball, but always on loan before finding his place in Nottingham Forest/
