Ayu brings back defected PDP members in his LG, as Dyegh led thousands back to PDP
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, has begun the consolidation of his leadership of the party with the recalling of old PDP supporters back to the party in his local council.
The PDP National Chairman, accordingly, welcomed back a member of the House of Representatives, John Dyegh, who led thousands of loyalists in returning to the PDP in Gboko Local Government Area, Benue State.
The legion of defectors had dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), on which platform John Dyegh is representing Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency in the National Assembly; the defectors from APC also include a former Director at the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, and teaming supporters.
The PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, commended the defectors from the APC while handing them the PDP flags in Gboko.
Governor Samuel Ortom, PDP leader in the North Central district, also commended the defectors, assuring them of unity of purpose in Benue State.
The federal lawmaker donated vehicles to PDP chairmen in the two local government councils he represents in the federal legislature.
