Ayu wants to be Secretary to FG, manipulated presidential primary for Atiku – Wike
Governor Nyseom Wike of Rivers State on Friday said that the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu, wants to be the Secretary to the Government of the Federation after the PDP would have won the 2023 presidential election. The Rivers governor in a media chat broadcasted life and monitored by National Daily from Lagos, added that they have already decided who will be the senate president.
Wike also said that Ayu allegedly exploited delegates and manipulating the PD presidential primary for the victory of the emergent PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for the 2023 elections.
Wike subsequently stated certain actions Atiku and Ayu can take for the resolution of the PDP crisis, insisting that the national chairman must be returned to the south after the north had taken the presidential ticket.
Wike questioned why the PDP could not zone the presidneitla ticket to the south if the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari decided to zone the presidential ticket to the south.
He alleged that Atiku and his loyalists think they have people in the presidency supporting the PDP presidential candidate.
