Babajide Otitoju reacts on Peter Obi’s popularity on social media ahead of 2023 elections
Veteran journalist and top-notch socio-political analyst, Mr. Babajide Kolade Otitoju has reacted to popularity of presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) Mr. Peter Obi.
The anchor of popular TV programme tagged Journalists’ Hangout said being popular on social media platforms not enough to win presidential election in Nigeria.
He charged the former governor of Anambra State to focus on building political structure at the grassroots like the two major parties; All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made the reaction on Thursday’s evening while hosting other journalists and examining the possibility of Mr. Obi as Labour Party candidate to win 2023 in general elections.
He advised the Peter Obi to take his campaign to all geo-political zones and do less on the social media for now. He remarked that those that concentrated on social media platforms to win elections in the past failed.
