Bandits invade Rini Town in Zamfara, kidnap residents
Bandits have continued to defy security measures in Zamfara State, invaded Rini town in Bakura Local Government Area (LGA).
The bandits had invaded the town at about 2.30am on Friday and were shooting sporadically.
The residents were gathered to have remained indoor, resisting the fear of running for safety on the streets during the heavy gunshots. However, about 60 locals were said to be kidnapped by the bandits.
The Zamfara State Police Command was gathered to have confirmed the attack.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, Mohammed Shehu, had disclosed that the Police have deployed tactical operatives to the community for search and rescue operations.
