Rival bandits clash in Kaduna, 9 killed
Rival banditti gangs clashed in Kaduna, leaving nine bandits dead in a gun battle, Kaduna State government had disclosed on Friday.
It was revealed that the rival bandit gangs engaged in battle of supremacy on Wednesday in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
One notorious bandit, called Godon Mota, had invaded Garke village with members of his gang, but the group was confronted by a rival gang, culminating into bloody clash that resulted in the killing of nine bandits.
The gangs were said to have engaged is dispute over sharing of accumulated ransoms collected from kidnapped victims.
One gang was said to have protested being cheated by the other, and attempt by the accused cheater to impose its decision on the complainant resulted in free-for-all shooting.
The bandits in the show of power between their gangs ended killing nine of their members on both sides.
