Bandits kidnap twin daughters, 3 aides of traditional ruler in Kwara
Bandits on Thursday night kidnapped twin daughters and three aides of a third-class traditional ruler in Obbo-Aiyegunle Community, Ekiti Local Government Area, of Kwara State.
The kidnappers trailed the vehicle conveying the twin daughters of the traditional ruler, Oba Samuel Adelodun, from the children school of Landmark University staff school, Omu- Aran, abducted the two daughters said to be six years old, on their way between Osi and Obbo-Aiyegunle. The three aides of the traditional ruler were identified as the royal father’s driver, security official, and maid.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kwara State Police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, was gathered to have narrated that the victims were kidnapped along Osi-Obbo Ayegunle road while taking the children home from school.
The PPRO said that the Commissioner of Police in the state on receiving the information, immediately dispatched the Anti Kidnapping and other Tactical Units of the Command alongside local hunters and vigilantes to urgently commence search rescue operation in the area for safe rescue of the victims and arrest of the kidnappers.
