Buni sacrifices Akpanudoedehe, denies approval of statement suspending Bello’s acting actions
The National Chairman of the Caretaker/ Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Mai Mala Buni, may have sacrificed the APC CECPC national secretary, John James Akpanudoedehe, on his return from Dubai after weeks of medical vacation. The national secretary had stood in the gap for Buni during the plot to change the national chairman. Buni had distanced himself from the statement issued by Akpanudoede, halting activities and decisions executed by the CECPC acting chairman, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State.
Buni subsequently accepted all decisions made in his absence by the acting chairman of the Committee, urging all PDP stakeholders to disregard a previous statement issued by the suspended national secretary, John Akpanudoedehe.
Akpanudoedehe on Wednesday night declared that the APC National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday was cancelled on the directive of Governor Buni.
