Presidency 2023: Wike absent as Tambuwal declares for PDP ticket
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was absent as his old political ally, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State formally declared to joined the 2023 presidential race. The Sokoto State governor at a meeting with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the state in Abuja, solicited the support of all party members to secure the PDP presidential ticket.
After the meeting with PDP State Chairmen in Abuja, Governor Tambuwal disclosed that he holds the State Chairmen as grassroots mobilisers.
Tambuwal emphasised the need for unity among PDP members towards the 2023 general elections. He maintained that the PDP is the only hope of Nigerians.
He said the PDP is ready to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2023.
