In light of the happenings and recent situations in Nigeria; increased concern for the well-being of the people; and fear for the future and uncertainty in the hearts of many in contrast to God’s plan and will for His people, there comes the need for God’s people to take a stand and effect a change through heart felt prayer for a turnaround for good in our dear nation, Nigeria. And this was exactly what happened at the Abuja Prayer and Miracle Crusade held at the Old Parade Ground, Garki, on February 2nd, 2024.

It was a night of prayers all through and fervent prayers were made for the lost glory of this country to be restored by the power of God Spirit and for corruption to wiped out of our governance system including the civil service and the security agencies.

Of noteworthy was the special prayer for our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all those in authority with him including the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, that they succeed in the assignment God gave them for this nation, Nigeria “for the thrones that be is ordained of God whether it looks like it or not.”

Power, might, sound mind, love, and the political will was prayed for the President and those in authority with him that they always do what is right for this country even against their own will. It was prayed that the executive, legislature, and judiciary will do things with the fear of God in their hearts.

“The people running Nigeria have excellent spirits, they know what to do and good things are coming out of Nigeria. Righteousness covers Nigeria as waters cover the sea. The lord will use our leaders to do what is right for this country,” it was prayed.

Safety and security of lives and property was enthroned on the land by the power of God Spirit.

As said by Pastor Dipo Fisho, the Zonal Pastor, Christ Embassy Abuja Zone 1, “Abuja Prayer and Miracle Crusade was inspired by the Holy Spirit as an intercessory prayer programme for our nation and all those who are currently in authourity in the three arms of government- the executive, legislature, and Judiciary.

“It was a time to apply the knowledge of God’s word to effect changes in our nation and we know that it seems that God would do nothing except we pray. So we decided to pray.

“The country needs a clear direction to go if we must regain our rightful position and respect in the committee of nations and it’s only the Almighty God that has the wisdom and power to direct a people aright and so we decided to evoke the power of His Spirit on leaders of this great nation Nigeria.”

The programme was to serve as a rallying point of intercessory prayers for not only the Federal Capital Territory but for the entire nation using Abuja as the nerve centre of Nigeria.

“It was a night of declaration of life-changing words of courage, victory, healing, salvation, and blessings. It was indeed a special night of reassignment in the fortunes in the governance of our dear nation Nigeria,” the zonal pastor said.

Every strata of the Abuja society availed themselves of the rare opportunity to be in attendance and be part of this epoch-making intercession for a turnaround for good in our nation.

Traditional rulers, prominent community leaders (Christians and non-Christians) were massively in attendance for the programme to pray for our dear country.

The political class including some National Assembly members, officials of the Federal Capital administration, officials of some federal government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) were not left out of the prayer meeting as they were effectively mobilised and voluntarily agreed to participate.

Top ranking officers of some security agencies were not left out of the meeting as some very senior officers in the military, Police and State Security Service were in attendance at the Old Parade Ground to pray for God’s intervention and direction in the affairs of this nation.

As aptly described by Dipo Fisho, the Alpha ZP, “This program was one significant Night with the King, maker of Nigeria, where testimonies of healings and change of stories took place for individuals and for our nation in general.

“The essence of the programme was to re-align our nation in God’s perfect plan for it and also in the lives of the citizenry both those in government and the led.

As he said, “The Abuja Prayer and Miracle Crusade (APMC) rode on the wings of the positive feedbacks and loads of testimonies of the previous prayer programmes and initiatives of the Christ Embassy Abuja Zone 1 and that was why the programme was widely embraced across the FCT with the kind of success recorded.

“It was a time to apply the knowledge of God’s Word to effect changes in our nation and we know that it seems that God would do nothing except we pray so we decided to pray.”

According to him, “This special programme was inspired by the Holy Spirit to serve as a rallying point of intercessory prayers for our dear nation, Nigeria.

“We have confirmation in our spirits that things have shifted in the realm of the spirit for good in our nation and whatever plans of the devil to cause crisis, insecurity of lives and properties or continue to hold down the country from occupying its rightful position as the continental giant in all ramifications, have been annulled because we prayed.”

As he explained, the event rode on the wings of positive feedbacks and loads of testimonies from previous programmes of Christ Embassy Abuja Zone 1 and that was why the programme was widely embraced across the territory with the kind of success recorded.

It was indeed a night of gyration in the Holy Ghost and we know destinies (individual and national) were altered as we fervently called on the God of heaven who hears and answers prayers
