Covid-19 claims its first in Nollywood
Nollywood actress, Sotonye Green, has died of COVID-19 after her admission at the Yaba Isolation Centre, Lagos.
According to Debby King who announced te death on INSTAGRAM, Green died because of the corruption at the centre.
“Please and Please. Help spread the word. Yaba isolation center is a dead trap where only the rich and famous are treated after their doctors have been bribed,” she wrote.
“I never thought I would be saying goodbye so soon. Rest in peace my bestie. May God forgive all your sins and accept your soul into paradise in Jesus name….Amen.”
Green was the first Nollywood actors to have died in the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, no fewer than 23 Nigerians have died as a result of the infection, according to the NCDC.
