Dozens killed in fresh attack on Taraba community
Thirteen villagers have been killed at Karekuka village of Gassol local government area of Taraba State, after terrorists struck on Friday.
Taraba, North Central has been a haven of terrorists (Bandits) attack in recent time with scores of locals reportedly killed in brutal manner.
Among the 13 people killed on Friday included six local security outfits, called vigilante.
Many people sustained injuries after the gunmen opened fire on villagers.
Channels TV quoted a source as saying that the vigilantes also killed six members of the terrorists group.
Police spokesperson in Taraba confirmed the attack on Karekuka village and said efforts were in top gear to restore normalcy.
He added that officers have been drafted to the scene to convey the corpses to a nearby morgue as investigations commence.
