EKEDC demands NERC to reverse N48m fine
- Says time for submission of financial report extended
The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has reminded the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) of its approval of deadline for submission of financial report. Thus, the EKEDC demanded NERC to reverse the N48 million fine imposed on the
company for late submission of financial reports.
Oladele Amoda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of EKEDC, was gathered to have complained that NERC may have forgotten it approved the extension of deadline for the submission of audited financial reports for 2013 and 2014.
Amoda, thereafter, disclosed that EKEDC has submitted its audited financial reports for 2013 and 2014. “We have submitted our audited financial reports for 2013 and 2014. So we are asking the commission to drop or reduce the fine to the number of days the reports were late,” he had said.
