Etisalat announces entries for Literature Prize
Etisalat Nigeria has announced the Top successful entries for the 2015 edition of the Etisalat Prize for Literature Flash Fiction Category.
The stories were selected through a public online voting process which kicked off on 9 November and ended 25 November.
Head of Events and Sponsorship at Etisalat Nigeria, Modupe Thani made the announcement in Lagos.
The Flash Fiction category is designed to celebrate short stories by upcoming writers.
The winning author will be rewarded with a cash prize of GBP 1,000, a high-end device and the promotion of published e-books, while two runners up will each receive GBP 500 cash prize and a high-end device.
Tanzanian writer and poet, Neema Komba, won the 2014 edition of the Etisalat Prize for Literature Flash Fiction Category.
The Flash Fiction category judging panel is made up of personalities who have established relationships with the African writing space spanning book clubs, poets, writers and critics.
