Everton plans to buy this Man City player
Everton are set to sign midfielder Fabian Delph from Manchester City for a fee of £8.5million which could rise to £10m with add-ons. The 29-year-old England international, who had 12 months remaining on his contract, will end a four-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.
Delph was restricted to just 11 Premier League appearances last season for City, who paid a club-record £62.8m fee for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri earlier this month.
In other news, Conor Hourihane has signed a new deal at Aston Villa, the Premier League new boys have announced. The 28-year-old midfielder has made over 100 appearances for the club since joining in 2017 and played a key role as they secured promotion back to the top flight via the play-offs in May.
“Aston Villa is delighted to announce Conor Hourihane has signed a contract extension ahead of the new Premier League season,” Villa announced on their official website. “Hourihane has completed a remarkable rise as a player from League Two to the Premier League in just five years – competing in every EFL division along the way.”
