FFK reacts as Gen. Ibrahim Haruna slammed journalist for claiming Buhari has run out of ideas
The former Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to his official Twitter page to react after Ibrahim Bata Malgwi Haruna while speaking with Arise News slammed the journalist for claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari has run out of ideas.
During the interview, the Arise News anchor, Rufai Oseni asked General Ibrahim Bata Malgwi Haruna what he has to say as regards to claims that the President has run out of ideas.
This particular question seems not to go down well with the general as he slammed the journalist, saying that nobody said the President has run out of ideas, but we are not running by his ideas, adding that the person in quote is actually the President of this country which we all belong to, and we all have duties to play as well.
Further speaking, the former Federal Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ibrahim Haruna made it known that we can’t allow the social media to educate the people to believe that their country is a failure, and their President has failed the country and its citizens, where do we go from there if we allow the people to have this mindset regarding their country, Haruna asked.
However, Rufai Oseni also asked general Ibrahim Haruna to show him results as regards to the security system in Nigeria.
In response to this question, general Haruna said, “How do I show you, you are at work, you are feeling safe, you are Communicating, and you want me to show you results. If there was war, will you be where you are today, why must I show you failure and not progress”.
Reacting to general Ibrahim Haruna’s statement, the former Special Assistant to Olusegun Obasanjo, Femi Fani-Kayode said that Ibrahim Haruna has given the people hope this morning, adding that he spoke with great strength and courage.
