Finally, Todd Boehly open-up on why he sacked Thomas Tuchel
The owner of Chelsea football club, Todd Boehly has lifted the lid on the reason why they sacked former club manager Thomas Tuchel as he highlights that the shock 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb was not responsible for Tuchel’s sack.
According to Daily Mail, Todd Boehly explained that the reason for sacking Thomas Tuchel is because the German tactician did not share his vision for the future of the club. the American Businessman said that the reality of our decision was that we weren’t sure that Thomas saw the vision the same way we saw it. No one is right or wrong, we just didn’t have a shared vision for the future, he said.
On whether the Dinamo Zagreb’s defeat contributed to his sack, Todd Boehly said no, that the decision was not down to the defeat and that the club’s senior management had already decided to replace Tuchel just five months after completing their £4.25bn takeover in May.
He pointed out that their vision for the club was to find a manager who really wanted to collaborate with them.
