Gov Bello “criticizes” Buhari, says Tinubu/Shettima ticket complete departure from what is happening now
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on a seeming innuendo, may have, on Friday, subtly “criticized” President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections, is a complete departure from what is happening now. Invariably, ‘what happening now’ in the country is something Nigerians puzzle about and are seeking a way out of it.
Governor Bello, however, attempting to justify the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election on Channels Television on Friday, said: “Nigerian politicians should be more mature; we should take politics out of it.
“Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his Excellency Shettima is a perfect match. “When you have a one-on-one with these gentlemen, you will know that we are coming up with a combination that, largely, Nigerians will be happy with.”
He declared that the combination of Tinubu and Shettima is a “complete departure from what is happening now”.
The Kogi governor also said that those criticizing the APC Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket should have a rethink, stating: “who told you that it cannot be Christian-Christian tomorrow?”
