Gov Sani orders state University to stop collection of levy
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has ordered the Kaduna State University (KASU)to stop collection of levy from students of the institution.
The governor lamented that the levy collection by the university management “negates the State Government’s downward review of the extant fees regime announced in 2023.”
The downward review of the Kaduna State University school fees was implemented as a measure to cushion the effects of the rising cost of living occasioned by the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The governor’s directive was issued in a statement by his spokesperson, Muhammad Lawal Shehu on Monday.
