Haaland demands a monstrous wage for his service
Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland is reportedly demanding a wage package worth £825,000 a week if he is to depart from the Bundesliga team next summer.
The 21-year-old Norwegian forward has become one of the world’s most sought-after attackers, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid keeping tabs on his situation.
Haaland was in demand this summer, however, Dortmund managed to keep hold of the forward for at least one more campaign, although his £68m release clause will become active in the summer of 2022.
According to Bild, not only would any potential bidder need to spend around £43m each year on Haaland’s salary, however, they would also have to fork out an extra £34m demanded by the players agent Raiola.
It is believed that Premier League champions Man City are in a good position to land Haaland next summer, following their failed attempts to secure the services of Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
