Amotekun battles kidnappers, rescues 9 of 12 victims in Ondo
The security architecture in the southwest, Amotekun, engaged kidnappers in Ondo State who abducted 12 passengers in Ondo State on Wednesday. Th Amotekum operatives, engaging the kidnappers. Successfully rescued 9 of the 12 victims in their custody.
The passengers were conveyed in an 18-seater bus, traveling from Abuja to Lagos when they were obstructed in Idoani Ifira, Akoko Southeast Local Government Area, Ondo State.
Commander of Amotekun in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye, had disclosed that the Command rescued the victims following prompt response by the operatives to a distress call from citizens in the area.
Adeleye said that Amotekun operatives are sustaining search and rescue operations in the bush for the remaining three victims.
