Just in: Kaduna State Imposes 24-Hour Curfew on Kaduna, Zaria
The Kaduna State Security Council, led by Governor Uba Sani, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and Zaria metropolitan areas, effective immediately.
This decision follows a review of the security situation in the state, which revealed that ongoing protests have been hijacked by criminal elements, leading to looting and destruction of property.

In a statement, Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, advised citizens to remain indoors while security forces work to restore order.

The announcement comes as authorities respond to escalating tensions in the region, aiming to prevent further violence and ensure the safety of residents.
