Kebbi: Idris okays N27.5m registration fees for indigent Law students
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has approved the sum of N27.5 million registration fees for 38 indigent students of the Nigerian Law School.
The State Commissioner for Justice, (Dr) Junaidu Bello Marshal disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, National Daily Newspaper gathered.
Marshal explained that 28 Bar Part II students will receive the sum of N750,000 each while the Bar Part I students will get the sum of N650,000 each.
He said: “His Excellency’s approval became necessary when the management of the Nigerian Law School increased the fees to N476,000 ( Four Hundred and Seventy Six Thousand Naira Only) for Bar Part II and N353,000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Three Thousand Naira Only) for Bar Part I.”

As contained in statement by Yahaya Sarki, the governor’s media aide, the students appreciated the governor’s gesture.
They equally assured of their commitment to remain good ambassadors of the state.
Sarki added that they described the gesture of the governor as a fulfilment of his promise to providing quality education for all.
It will be recalled that the last time Kebbi State Government paid for the Nigerian Law School tuition and registration fees for the indigenes of the State was in 2017.
